Located on the Chemin des Graniers, just below the Citadel of Saint-Tropez, this marine cemetery is much more than just a resting place. It isone of the few marine cemeteries in France, which gives it a very special character and atmosphere.

History etched in stone
The history of Saint-Tropez’s marine cemetery dates back to the late 18th century. It was first relocated in 1776 to the Pré des Pêcheurs, before finding its current site in 1815. Over the years, this place of remembrance has undergone several extensions, most recently in 1980, with the addition of a crypt. Each extension tells a different part of the story of Saint-Tropez and its inhabitants.

Address: the marine cemetery is located at 8 Chemin des Graniers, 83990 Saint-Tropez. It takesan average of 53 minutes from our campsite in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez via the D98A or D558.
Opening times and days: good news, access is free and the cemetery is open every day! October 1 to March 31: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and April 1 to September 30: 8:00 am to 7:30 pm.
Our advice: remember to arrive a quarter of an hour before closing time, as visitors are not admitted after this time.
Admission: admission to the Saint-Tropez marine cemetery is free.
Parking: you can park in one of the cemetery’s own parking lots. If these spaces are full, Saint-Tropez offers other options such as the Parking du Nouveau Port (1, Avenue du Général de Gaulle), the Parking des Lices (41, Avenue Paul Roussel) or the Parking Foch (19, Avenue de la Résistance). It takes an average 15-minute walk from these parking lots to reach the cemetery.
